Position: Options Coordinator - Design Studio
Classic Homes - Job Description Job Title: Options Coordinator – Design Studio Reports to: Director of Design Studio Operations Full/Part Time: Full Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt Salary: DOE Position Purpose ________________________________________ To provide residential homeowners the ability to personalize their home by educating them on Classic’s available products and options. Duties & Responsibilities ________________________________________ • Meet and advise new homeowners on all interior finishes for new residential construction projects including but not limited to the following types of items: interior paint, stain, cabinets, floor coverings, tile surrounds, lighting fixtures, countertops, plumbing fixtures, appliances, hardware, and low volt wiring. General product knowledge of all products will be required and verified, but we will train the right person. • Estimate and quote-upgrade prices based on buyers’ selections and pricing structures as provided by management. • Ability to read blueprints, work with an architect scale, estimate product from blueprints and draw to scale from blueprint measurements. • Ability to accurately communicate (via data-entry) the color selections and options from the buyer into pre-generated computer templates from which purchase orders and work orders will be generated for field personnel. Computer skills a must. (Microsoft? Word, Excel, Access, etc.) • Ability to create accurate renderings/ drawings of the buyer’s selections for distribution to the field and in some cases provide “to scale” drawings. • Process all generated paperwork for distribution to the corporate office as well as sales, and construction. Accurately store the color chart as well as change orders, renderings, etc. in the approved file location. • Responsible for effective communication of product information, function, application, maintenance and warranty to the homeowner. • Support all internal and external customers by communicating on all functions of the Design Studio. • Others as assigned by management Required Experience ________________________________________ • Retail Sales or Design experience/skills • Knowledge of home-building or construction industry • A degree in interior design or a suitable level of experience in this field. • Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Excel is a MUST) Skills & Abilities ________________________________________ • Able to perform all duties and responsibilities as listed above • Able to multi-task and work well under pressure • Dependability and the ability to present a professional and positive attitude in all situations • Ability to communicate well and on many different levels with many different types of people, both internal and external. • Able to give attention to detail, be organized and thorough • Able to give a high level of customer service on a consistent basis
